Resume

Mainly engaged in ultra-fast optical imaging technology and application research, including Compression Ultrafast Imaging, Nonlinear Optical Imaging and Computational Imaging.In recent years he has published more than 120 papers in international important academic journals such as Physical Review Letters, Optica and so on, presided over by the national natural science foundation and more than 10 projects of Shanghai science and technology commission, including the national natural science foundation of major research plan key projects, the national natural science fund project, Shanghai science and technology commission basic research on key projects and so on.

Research Fields: Ultrafast Optical Imaging


1. Compressed Ultrafast Photography

Capturing images of transient scenes at high speed has always been a dream and goal for photographers.In this project, we developed a combined technology based on Compressed sensing (Compressed sensing) and Streak camera, namely Compressed ultrafast photography (CUP) technology. This CUP technology can capture time-varying events without repeating, and the imaging speed reaches 10^12 frames per second, which greatly improves the imaging speed.Compared with the existing ultra-fast imaging technology, this CUP technology has obvious advantages. It is a single camera to take photos and measure an x-y-t event, where x and y are the spatial coordinates and t is the time coordinate. Therefore, transient events can be observed and the temporal resolution can reach the order of picoseconds.

2. Nonlinear Optical Microscopy

Using femtosecond laser pulse as the light source, the nonlinear optical microscopic imaging research has the advantages of 3d spatial resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio and high contrast, which can be used to detect the long-term dynamic characteristics of biological samples.In this project, we develop a femtosecond laser pulse shaping technique to further improve the sensitivity and resolution of fluorescence microimaging and Raman microimaging.By controlling the amplitude, phase and polarization of femtosecond laser pulses in the frequency domain, femtosecond laser pulses of almost arbitrary shape can be obtained in the time domain.

3. Computational Imaging

Computational imaging is an interdisciplinary field integrating geometric optics, information optics, computational optics, computer vision, digital image processing, modern signal processing and other disciplines. It is the development trend of current imaging technology that it can break through the limitations of classical imaging models and equipment and obtain abundant scene information.In this project, we developed a variety of algorithms, including augmented Lagrange algorithm, for image reconstruction in ultra-fast compression imaging, and explored a variety of ultra-fast compression imaging reconstruction methods based on deep learning, so as to improve the SNR of reconstructed images and shorten the reconstruction time.
