Dr. Qian is an Associate Professor in Department of Early Childhood Education, Director of ECE Study Group, East China Normal University. She does researches on Early Childhood Educational (ECE) curriculum development, comparative studies and policy studies. She has an interest in improving the quality of education affecting young children 0-8 years old. She is the Deputy Secretary General of OMEP China and one of the editorial boarding members of Universal Journal of Educational Research. Prior to coming to East China Normal University, she had been a preschool teacher for 7 years. She received her Masters degrees in Early Childhood Education from NanjingNormalUniversity and her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction Program at East China Normal University. She was a co-training doctoral student (visiting fellow) at HarvardUniversity in 2007-2008.  In 2009 and 2010, she won the university Best Teaching Prize. She was a visiting scholar at UCLA in 2014. She is now leading many projects for the National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science, ChinaandDepartment of Education, China.
