Dr. Yan, Chao studied as a undergraduate from 2004 to 2008 at Department of Psychology, East China Normal University (ECNU). Then he moved to Beijing and obtained his Ph.D degree from Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013. Since 2013, he has been working as a research fellow at the Institute of Developmental and Educational Psychology, ECNU. His main research areas focus on 1) Emotion development as well as its underlying neural mechanisms in children and adolescents; 2) Developmental psychpathological and neural mechanisms of anhedonia, social withdrawal and emotional dysregulation in affective disorder as well as schizophrenia spectrum disorder; 3) Cognitive and brain training.
