EducationWorkExperienceResumeChang Yang is a professor at East China Normal University, and the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Polar Materials and Devices (Ministry of Education), Shanghai, China. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Science and Technology from Fudan University in 2005, and Ph.D. degree in Material Physics and Chemistry from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Science in 2010. From 2010 to 2014, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tokyo, Japan. He was a Junior Group Leader/Lecturer in the Faculty of Physics and Earth Sciences, Leipzig University, Germany, before moving back to Shanghai, China in 2020. He also serves as an editorial/advisory board member of Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, Surface Science and Technology, and Journal of Inorganic Materials. He has published more than 40 papers including PNAS, Nature Commun., etc. He made pioneering contributions to the emerging wide-gap I-VII semiconductors, and discovered by far the best p-type transparent conductive and thermoelectric materials based on copper iodide.
