As a principal investigator, Dr. Sun has been responsible for a few key research projects on nanotechnology related to flat panel display, high efficiency light source, vacuum systems supported by Singapore and China. He has published over 200 articles in renowned international journals(SCI) (cited over 5000 times), and filed over 100 patents. He was awarded as “Shanghai Sci&Tech Youth Creative Talent Award”, “Shanghai IT Youth Top 10” and “Shanghai Optoelectronics Industry Contribution Award”, “Leading Talent of Sci. & Tech.” of Suzhou Industrial Park, “Creative Contrbution Award of China Overseas Society”, etc. He was the Excutive Chair of Society of Information Display (SID) “Asia Display 2007”, and had been awarded SID “Outsanding Organization and Contribution Award”. He was also the Excutive Chair of IEEE “International Nanoelectronics Conference 2008”. He is also the co-founder of a few nanotechnology companies (Nanocs, Nanoking, Sunlights, etc.).
