Professor Zhou received her PhD in Economics from Yale University (Advisor: Steve Berry), and her BA in Economics and Mathematics from Wuhan University (Advisor: Hengfu Zou). She is currently a Zijiang Endorsed Researcher at the School of Economics, East China Normal University. Her research interests are centered on empirical industrial organization. Her recent work has explored such topics as the competition structure, antitrust, the welfare effect of environmental policies, mechanism design for online marketplaces, and price discrimination. Her publications have appeared in such journals as the Rand Journal of Economics, International Economic Review, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Journal of Industrial Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, and Economics Letters. She has provided consulting work to the Asian Development Bank.
