Xie Wei is the winner of the Fok Yingdong National University Outstanding Young Teacher Award (2018), and was selected as the Best Teacher (2014-2018) by graduates for five consecutive years, was selected as Outstanding Communist Party Member of East China Normal University (2015),  Outstanding New Teacher Award of East China Normal University (2014), Shanghai Chenguang Scholar (2011), etc.

Published the academic monograph Interests and Optimization Mechanisms in the Implementation of China's Public Policy, and won the Academic Work Recommendation Award.

Published a serious of CSSCI papers in Social Sciences, Zhejiang Social Sciences, Yunnan Social Sciences, Academic Journal of Zhongzhou, Journal of East China Normal University and other journals. Some of the results were reprinted in full by Xinhua Digest and Copied Materials from Newspapers &Journals by China People's University, etc.

In teaching, Xie Wei actively encourages students to think about problems, express ideas, she is specialized in using case teaching and teaching simulation practice, and achieves good effect. The front page of Oriental Education Times featured a special report on her teaching reform methods. She was awarded the Excellent Teacher of East China Normal University for many times, and has won the Excellent Teaching Award for Postgraduates (2017), Excellent Instructor of Shanghai Challenge Cup (2017), and MPA Most Popular Teacher Award (2017), Nengda Teaching Award (2012), etc.

For scientific innovation practice, she instructed students to win the first prize of the National Challenge Cup University Student Research Work Competition (2019), the first prize of Shanghai Public Management Forum (2019), and the Special Prize of Shanghai Challenge Cup University Student Research Work Competition (2019), the first prize of the National Postgraduate Public Management Case Contest (2018), the champion and the second prize of the National Truth-Seeking Cup Undergraduate Public Management Case Contest (2018), the second prize of Shanghai Public Management Forum (2017, 2018), etc. , and she instructed students to win seven first prizes, six second prizes and several third prizes in the Daxia Cup Extracurricular Science and Technology Work Competition.

12. To guide a number of undergraduate, full-time graduate students and MPA students to be selected into excellent dissertations. Taking 2019 as an example, one undergraduate thesis was selected as excellent bachelor's degree thesis, one full-time graduate student was selected as excellent master's degree thesis, and two MPa graduate students were selected as excellent professional master's degree thesis.

13. He has guided several student teams to win prizes in the Daxia cup academic and technological works competition, including seven first prizes, six second prizes and four third prizes.
