    Resume

    Wu Wenzhi (1980-), male, native of Shexian County, Anhui Province.He is an associate professor of the Department of Tourism and Exhibition, School of Business Administration, East China Normal University. He is also the executive Deputy Director of the Tourism Planning and Development Research Center of East China Normal University and the Deputy Director of Shanghai Yangtze River Delta Tourism Development Research Center. He was appointed as the special researcher of the Tourism Research Center of The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.Mainly engaged in ancient villages and towns heritage tourism, home stay and rural tourism, scenic spot development and management, tourism planning and industrial policy research.He has published more than 30 papers in such journals as Tourism Management, Tourism Journal, Economic Management, Economic Geography, and Rural Economic Issues. He has presided over 1 national Social Science Fund project, 2 humanities and Social Science projects of the Ministry of Education, and 3 decision-making consulting projects of Shanghai Municipal Government.In the past five years, he has assisted and completed nearly 10 bidding projects for provincial and ministerial departments such as The National Tourism Administration and Shanghai Municipal Government, mainly responsible for completing more than 50 local tourism development planning, special tourism planning, tourism scenic spot planning and cultural tourism projects.He held temporary posts in Tourism Bureau of Chuzhou, Anhui (Assistant to the Director general, 2006-2008) and Wuzhong District, Suzhou (Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Jinting Town, Deputy Director of District Tourism Bureau, 2011-2013).

    He is currently employed as special researcher (2019-2022) of Tourism Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, director of Tourism Committee of China Regional Science Association, member of Shanghai Tourism Standards Committee, Deputy Director of Shanghai Yangtze River Delta Tourism Development Research Center, and mainland Director of Cross-strait Home stay Cultural Promotion Center.
