He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Tongji University (China) under the supervision of Prof. Xiaoming Zhao in 2015, working on transition metal catalyzed asymmetric reactions and chiral sulfoxide ligands designations. He then moved to Fudan University to construct artificial transmembrane channels in Prof Jun-Li Hou group. After that, he joined the University of Manchester to investigate polymer mechanochemistry as a Newton International Fellow in Prof. Guillaume De Bo group from 01.2018 to 01.2020. He continually worked on polymer mechanochemistry and molecular topology in Prof. David Leigh group in the same university from 02.2020 to 03.2023. Currently, he is a Zijiang Outstanding Young professor in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, East China Normal University. His research interests focus on the intersection of molecular nanotopology and polymer mechanochemistry, as well as artificial transmembrane channels. Other Appointments

We’re interested in tuning deformative mechanical force to constructive energy, and its applications on force stimulated functional materials. We’re also designing supramolecular complexes based mechano-systems. We’re always looking for talented and highly enthusiastic students to join our team. Please contact Dr. Min Zhang email for further information (including a CV and a cover letter).
Outstanding candidates are also encouraged to seek out fellowship opportunities. We will be happy to support applications for external funding. Enrollment and TrainingCourseScientific Research1.
