        多年来一直从事催化化学和材料化学的研究。承担过国家自然科学基金重大项目（负责人之一）‚国家重点基础研究发展规划项目（973项目；子课题负责人）‚国家自然科学基金项目（负责人）‚上海市科学技术发展基金重大和重点项目（负责人之一）等多项科学研究工作。已发表科学研究论文180余篇‚会议论文50余篇‚  编著四部（配位化学；绿色化学的评估准则；离子液体-从基础研究到工业应用；石油炼制和基本有机化学品合成的绿色化学）‚发明专利48项‚已授权27项。
