Resume

Xia Haibin is mainly engaged in population geography, regional sustainable development and geocomputation. He has published 16 papers in Chinese and English core journals. He has presided over one general project of the National Social Science Foundation of China, one youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and two projects of the Shanghai Natural Science Foundation. He has participated in a number of national key basic research development programs (973 program, national key special projects and national social science major projects). In 2017, He went to the Earth Institute of Columbia University as a visiting scholar, and participated in the World Bank project of climate migration, participated in Report of the GROUNDSWELL Preparing for Internal Climate Migration and submitted it to the relevant departments of the World Bank. As one of the main leaders, Xia Haibin participated in the research of the National Poverty Alleviation Strategy Project Indicator System for Evaluating the Scope and Category of National Hardship and Remote Area Allowance, and visited more than 100 national poverty-stricken counties in central and western China. Provided important decision-making basis for the State Council's approval and implementation of the Implementation Plan for Improving the Classification of Hardship and Remote Areas and the Allowance System.
