Education

Prof. Dr. Yiwen Zhu, is an associate professor at the Institute of Urban Development, East China Normal University, a graduate supervisor, and a doctor of economics. He was sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to study at the University of Toronto in Canada (2015-2016); he was a visiting scholar at the University of Heidelberg in Germany (2022-2023).

He has been engaged in research in the fields of regional development and industrial clusters, innovation networks, and exhibition economy for a long time. He has published more than 20 papers in international journals such as Regional Studies, Cities, Advances in Economic Geography, European Planning Studies; he has presided over more than ten projects such as the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the key projects of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government; he participated in the compilation of more than ten Chinese and English books such as the Shanghai Manual of the United Nations (UN-Habitat).
