EducationPh.D. in Optics in the group of Prof. Jianping Yin, East China Normal University MS. in Optics in the group of Prof. Jianping Yin, Soochow University BS. in Physics, Soochow University WorkExperienceProfessor of the State Key Lab of Precision Spectroscopy, East China Normal University Associate Professor of the Department of Physics, and State Key Lab of Precision Spectroscopy, East China Normal University Postdoc in the group of Prof. Jun Ye in JILA, University of Colorado Boulder ResumeDr. Yong Xia obtained his B.S. in 2000 from Department of Physics at Soochow University, and his Ph.D. in 2007 from Department of Physics at ECNU, during this time he carried out the experimental demonstration of electrostatic surface manipulation for cold polar molecules such as guiding, splitting. He did his postdoc at JILA, Colorado University in 2010 – 2011, during this time he participated in laser cooling and 2D magneto-optical trapping of the polar molecule yttrium oxide. Current research interests also include (1) structured light field, (2) machine learning in image recognition. In recent years, with the development of laser applied technolodge, a new big family of so-called vortex laser beam carrying orbital angular momentum is being formed, which has been incorporated in a new multiplexing method. This method can solve the problem of channel capacity in multiplexed communication.
