Resume

Prof. Deng Pan obtained his PhD degree in condensed matter physics at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2016. After a postdoctoral position at The Institute of Photonics Sciences (ICFO) in Barcelona (Spain), he joined the faculty at East China Normal University in 2021. He is currently an Outstanding Zijiang Professor at East China Normal University. His primary research areas include micro and nanophotonics, with specific focuses on plasmonics, graphene optics, Casimir effect, nanoscale heat transfer, and optical excitations in electron beams. His research achievements have been recognized with the China Optical Important Achievement Award in 2016. Currently, he is leading several projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Military Science Commission. He has been selected as a National Outstanding Youth, Overseas High-level Talent in Shanghai, and Shanghai Reserved Talent.
