Resume

Dr.  Jinquan Chen is a professor in the State Key Laboratory of Precision  Spectroscopy in East China Normal University. He received his B.S.from Nanjing University in 2007 and his Ph.D. in physical  chemistry from Ohio State University in 2012, where he studied chemical  dynamics using femtosecond lasers with Prof. Bern Kohler. Dr. Chen  performed postdoctoral research first with Bern Kohler at Montana State  University and then with Tianquan Lian at Emory University. Dr. Chen  uses femtosecond spectroscopy to study excited electronic states in DNA  and in nanomaterials of interest for solar energy conversion and  photocatalysis.
