Resume

Chang Yang is a Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Information and Electronic Engineering at East China Normal University in Shanghai, China. He earned his B.S. in Electrical Science and Technology from Fudan University in 2005 and his Ph.D. in Material Physics and Chemistry from the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2010. He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Tokyo, Japan, from 2010 to 2014, and later served as a Junior Group Leader in the Faculty of Physics and Earth Sciences at Leipzig University, Germany, before returning to Shanghai in 2020.

Prof. Yang has authored over 70 scientific publications in journals such as PNAS and Nature Communications. His pioneering work in wide-gap I–VII semiconductors led to the discovery of the best-performing p-type transparent conductive and thermoelectric materials based on copper iodide to date. His current research focuses on novel transparent and flexible optoelectronic materials for applications in photovoltaics, displays, and smart devices.
